Since I havn't seen all of the anime, and missed my chance to buy the first three manga so they're all gone in my area, I don't know the whole story.

But right now I like Light and L. They're evenly matched when it comes to mental prowless, although L is giving Light a run for his money. But L could kick Light's ass in anything else lol.

L is actually the smarter I think, or at least the more level headed. Light would be what I consider more clever. He also has a few supernatural advantages though. lol.
